Guest Speaker for Asian Coalition of Tallahassee

I was one among the five featured speakers on the Dr. Caroline Kay Picart Show on WTAL 1450 AM radio station this afternoon. The topic of today’s talk was about “Experiencing Asia in the South“. The first half of the show was dedicated to the organizer of the event Asian Coalition of Tallahassee and Veterans of Philippines.

The second half of the show was about tomorrow’s event called Experience Asia Festival 2008  which is in its fourth year. I was representing the Asian Coalition in my capacity as the Director of Media Relations as well as member of the Association as India Association of Tallahassee. I spoke about the program sequence, countries and association that are presented at the event, the reason for the programs success as this, and the relevance of program like this to Tallahassee. I was joined by Joyce Feezel who represented ACT and American Families with Asian Children, an adoption support group for American parents who have adopted children from Asia.

BHPS Spirit Week

Monday-Friday, September 15-19, 2008

Tallahassee, Florida, USA

 The whole week we celebrated the BHPS Spirit Week. That meant showing the school spirit and having fun time at the same time. On Monday it was pajama day, Tuesday it was crazy hair day and so VTS put on orange colored spray on his hair and head and went to school, Wednesday it was mix-and-match day and so VTS put on the T-shirt wrong side front, wore a dress shoe on one leg and sneakers on the other leg with full pant on one leg and half pant (the one you can zip it off) on the other leg, Thursday it was favorite character day and so VTS put on one of his favorite StarWars character called darth something. Finally today Friday it will be a soccer match between the current and former BHPS students (Blue and Gold). SGA will be selling drinks and food today. VTS is current SGA President.

When we left for Japan tropical strom Fay was chasing us in and around Orlando, Florida, USA. As we arrived from Japan Hurricane Gustav beared down toward New Orleans, Louisiana and finally crossed Houma, Louisiana.

Now we are facing the threat of Hurricane Ike.
